Halloween Parade, 2010

November 1, 2010

“There’s a downtown fairy singing out “Proud Mary”
as she cruises Christopher Street
and some Southern Queen is acting loud and mean
where the docks and the badlands meet
This Halloween is something to be sure…”

Time spent at the infamous Halloween Parade, which traverses Greenwich Village in a mile-long strain of densely costumed New Yorkers. Its beginning rooted in the early 1970s, the Parade continues to lure the mystic, whimsical, spooky and downright scary.

Lou Reed, Halloween Parade

Do you emulate a hero or savior?

Do you dress as something that is impossible to become?

See you next year at the Halloween Parade…
